Wind-power stations in terms of ecology
It is clear that even a single wind motor running close approach is not desirable, and, moreover, from any side, because when the direction of the wind direction of the axis of the rotor changes too. To place as hundreds of thousands and even more millions of wind turbines would require vast areas of hundreds of thousands of hectares. The fact is that wind generators close to each other could not be considered because they can create interference in the work, "taking the wind" from one another. The minimum distance between windmills must be at least three times their height. Behold, and count yourself what area would have to withdraw for wind-power stations with capacity of 4 million kilowatt.
It should be borne in mind that nothing else in this area will not do. Working wind turbines pose a significant noise and that is especially bad - generate inaudible ear, but a harmful effect on people infrasonic oscillations with frequencies below 16 Hz. Moreover, windmills scare away birds and animals, disrupting their natural way of life, but when a large cluster of them on one site - can significantly distort the natural movement of air streams with unpredictable consequences. Not surprisingly, in many countries, including Ireland, England and other residents have repeatedly protested against the deployment of Wind-power stations close to human settlements and agricultural land, and in densely populated Europe, this means - everywhere. Therefore, a proposal was made to deploy systems of wind turbines in the seas. For example, in Sweden , developed a project whereby expected in the Baltic Sea off the coast to install 300 wind turbines. At their height of 90 m towers will rotate two-blade propellers with a blade span of 80 m . The cost of building only the first hundred of these giants will take more than $ 1 billion, and the entire system, the construction of which will take at least 20 years, producing only 2% of its electricity from level of consumption in Sweden at present. But this is - so far only a draft. Meanwhile, in the same Swedish began construction of Wind-power stations with capacity of 200 kW at a distance of 250 meters from the shore, which will transfer energy to the ground by an undersea cable. In addition to the complexity and cost of such projects, their implementation would create serious obstacles to navigation, fisheries, and would have all the same harmful environmental impacts, as mentioned earlier. Therefore, these plans raise a protest movement. For instance, Swedish fishermen demanded a revision of the project being built in the sea Wind-power stations, because in their view, the underwater cable, and the station itself will be a bad influence on fish, in particular - on eels migrating to places along the coast.
